World Bank: Indonesia LRT Project Loans. The World Bank is offering Indonesian government a loan to specifically fund the country’s light rail transit (LRT) developments in four major cities other than Jakarta, which are Medan, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali. According to Ministry of Transportation, Indonesian government will present its proposal on urban transportation managements during IMF-World Bank annual meeting set in Bali this year. Furthermore, the projects will likely utilize a Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme upon handling multiple LRT projects.
