Indonesia FR0067 Booked Low Bid to Cover Ratio

The bid to cover ratio on Indonesia FR0067 (27-year) recorded at 1.85 times, low compared to other auctioned fixed rate bonds that reached 2.33 – 3.13 times on Tuesday’s auction. Government raised IDR1.25trn from FR0067 of total IDR2.32trn incoming bids. Relatively high absorption on FR0067 was due lower demanded yield for the bond given the average weighted yield only reached 8.43%, relatively similar compared to secondary market yield prior the auction day at 8.40%. Investors rising interest on long term bonds amidst February’s inflation. Bloomberg recorded in its survey that February’s inflation expects at level 3.90% YoY and 0.30% MoM, compare its previous month at 3.49% YoY and 0.97% MoM.
