BI Expect Inflation 3.5% YoY in FY18. Bank Indonesia (BI) expects inflation to reach 3.5% YoY in FY18, lower than FY17 realization of 3.6% YoY. The Central Bank’s Governor, is confident to meet this target through firm coordination among the Central Bank, central government, and local government. Furthermore, BI and ministry of economics also target inflation rate to record at 3.5% in 2019, 3% in 2020 and 3% in 2021. In the last five years, inflation succeeded to decline from 8.3% YoY to 3.6% YoY in FY18.
